Coastal Carolina Disaster Resiliency Agency
The Mission of Coastal Carolina Disaster Resiliency Agency (CCDRA) is to empower, recover and build stronger, more resilient communities.
CCDRA aims to support households impacted by disasters to recover and rebuild. CCDRA provides case management, education, resources, and financial assistance to households struggling with recovery and rebuilding needs through its statewide community collaboration and “Resource Table”. A dedicated team of staff and volunteers carries out this mission.
While Coastal Carolina Disaster Resiliency Agency is a new nonprofit in 2024, it is a continuation of the mission of partners that have been ongoing in recovery since 2016.
CCDRA's current staff consists of two highly experienced people, Kristy and Jeremy, whose experience began when they had nearly 6 feet of water in their home from Hurricane Florence in September 2018. Their personal experience with recovery has allowed them to make a special impact on community members recovering from disaster.
Kristy and Jeremy lead hundreds of volunteers a year in recovery efforts. Between 2021 and 2024, this small staff and more than 1000 volunteers have completed more than 125 repair projects.
